If your child is old enough, they might want to also leave a little note or picture for the Baby Fairies. After your little one falls asleep, replace their bag of dummies with treats, toys or another source of comfort such as a new teddy bear or special pillow – as a gift from the Dummy Fairy. I have friends that have had santa do it but I had just had my DS and he has one so didn't think it was the right time for her. I think this book is aimed at older children than I was expecting as the boy in the story looks school age. You provided the anchor that steadied their little ship as they negotiated the choppy seas of the infant years.

So anyhow I ended up showing the SALT a short video clip of Sasha on the phone to my mum, babbling away quite happily, which was about all she saw of her and so she has concluded she has a problem with 'T' and 'D'. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. Only problem we had was having to explain to ds that dd was still a baby and therefore not giving her dummy to santa that year but would have to the next if wanted any pressies. We didnt use a dummy fairy, DD was 23 months when we got rid of the dummy so she wldnt really understand it, but (she came off dummy in July) i didnt want to wait till xmas as felt it was too far away. Still not keen to give the dummy up yet, but we’ll get there soon hopefully with a bit more reading and getting used to the idea! To explore the imaginary world and the benefits that fantasy offers to young developing minds, you can choose to also put up a fairy door to give the Dummy Fairy a way to enter your child's room. Needless to say, we soon ditched the dummies for our baby as don’t want to have to go through all this a second time!

My 2 1/2 year old daughter was so attached to her dummy that I thought it would be a nightmare, but it wasn't thanks to this book. Just makes for difficult reading from an adult’s perspective especially since we’ve been reading it over and over. Doctors also feel that some toddlers sucking a dummy have three times more ear infections than a non-dummy sucker. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. my dd has recently turned 2, but has always slept through perfectly so I've been dreading anything which might distrupt this.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Read this children’s picture book so that your child can see what happens when Daniel meets Daisy the Dummy Fairy? After reading, parents can simply follow the book at home, and arrange an exciting visit from the Dummy Fairy, to the delight of their child. Thanks to Florrie the dummy fairy, my three year old gave his dummy up that very night (after loads of previous attempts).

Well I say for Sasha, but actually for Tamsin too, as she couldn't bear to be left out - she always loved her dummies, fairy came for her at the age of 2 and a half and then 4 months later she started sucking her thumb, which she still does! Children love that they can see Daisy and her Fairy friends, learn about her favourite food and even see what happens to the dummies after she collects them.Of course that'll be no comfort once they're gone, so we're battening down the hatches and preparing for a tough couple of days as far as Sasha goes. The children's picture book Daniel And The Dummy Fairy Book, may help your child to ditch their dummy with less stress.
